I have an 09 SG and want to change the stock bars to Klock Werks Ergo Back Bars. Any rider experiences with these? Info I am looking for:
1. Do I need to change cables with them?
2. How does it change the wrist position?
3. How does it change your seating position?
4. Cost inc installation (I won't try this myself)
5. Are you happy with it or do you wish you went w something else?
Any responses will be appreciated.
I am 5'08" and lean forward w the stock bars. I am looking for comfort as I do several long trips a year.
Thanks. Merc

I have 2010 FLHTP with ergo back bars. I had HD pullback before going ergo back. I am 5'9" and I feel that although the ergo back is better than HD pullback but it is far away from my expectation, I am still slouching and feel pain on my upper back on longer ride, I still do not have enough pullback with my elbow almost totally straight when riding in normal position, and my hand is still tingling after 30 min or so, I think it is due to the weird wrist angle...granted I have police seat which sit me 1.5" higher and 1.5" further back but I am slightly taller than you yet I still have all the problem. The finish for such an expensive bar is terrible, I have black powdercoat version and the powdercoat close to BOTH hand control is starting to get wrinkle on it for some reason. IMO the only good thing about this bar is the look, it look super nice IMO... On the other hand I have very good experience with Santee bar, I have 14" ape on my softail, it is super cheap, perfect wrist angle, super comfortable, super nice fit and finish, the powdercoat is way superior than Ergo back...So I have Santee 11" dresser bar on order right now, $79 from Jireh hard to beat that price and quality. If you do a search on Santee 11" dresser seems like everybody is happy with the Santee 11"...
Excellent reply-thank you. Are you doing the bars exchange yourself or having it done? I have mechanical intent, not mechanical ability. I'm smart enough to know the difference! Just looking for a package price for bars, cables (if needed), and installation. Thanks again. Merc
