I always wear Hanes boxers briefs that have no seams in the butt. They make a big difference on trips compared to underwear that have the seams that you are setting on. I made that mistake one day during one of our muti day trips and will never do that again...lol... It can be painful and uncomfortable setting on those seams for 12 hours for sure!

It's easy.
Start bike
Point wheel in desired direction
Shift into first
Engage clutch

The rest will come naturally

Getting a new bike is way out of the question. My road king is an 01. Lot of mods. My grandpop gave it to me. He didn't go cheap on it. Unfortunately when his Heath went so did his riding ability. It sat for a few years. Put some TLC in to it and it rides good. When I went to milwaukee, AND BACK the can chain tensioner shoes blew. After dumping close to 3 grand to get it going in the first ace another 1700 was a hit. No more room in the bank.
We plan on doing the trip in one swoop. Just get on and go. No stop except gas and maybe food. Some diet pills for a kick in the ***. I'm worried the bike won't make it. We have a rule for this trip. Fall behind, left behind. Bike breaks down your on your own. Nothing we can do you can't. Thanks for the advice Nd the word of encouragement. I'll grab some good shorts.

If you have a break down and are not able to fix or pay to have transported have it taken to a storage unit rental place and rent a small unit. Come and get it when you can.

Why do you need.tie downs on the ferry and what is CC

Man I can relate. Lost the can chain shoes on my 01 RKC . Killed my cams lifters and oil pump.
After that lost a.fuel injector on the next ride. Had to et it sit till I got the money to fix it. After sitting up it lost the fuel filter and fuel pump. Letting 1 sit is murder. Tune her up then ride it. Miles don't hurt .

Superman. You need tie downs for the ferry across Lake Michigan. Lake Michigan is well known for its choppy waters and rough waves. CC stands for credit card I believe. Never leave home without it. That's what my wife always says. Smart lady. I know the cam chain tensioner shoes are prone to blowing out. But after owning it for less then one week and having it hPpen left me a little gun shy. My sport bike spoiled me rotten. Never not started and never left me stranded. I'll nut up and when this **** weather leaves and parts to spring days I'll take that ride.

Are you riding with a group? If they have the stance of leaving you behind if you break down, I would look for a different group to hang with. Or ride alone. People with attitudes like that are not friends.
