So I get my 21" front wheel with 360 brake delivered from Shooter... (I know I know..pics are comin). I'm as happy as a pig in **** right... All excited I take it down to my local Indy whodoes all the work on my bike... I need to order a tire for it, (why I didn't get it from Bart, i'm still wonderin') I say.. "Hey wanna come check out my newultra trick 21" front I just got?" (Now he doesn't really order wheels and stuff, more of a service, chrome front end, and minor stuff type of guy and 95% of my parts are thru him) ... And he looks at me like he just stepped in a pile of steaming hot crap!!! " I guess i'm gonna hafta send out some lowers so you can go single disc huh" he says... I tell him "No! I got the new 360 brake installed" "Huh... whats that? I don't know what that is" I explain the concept to him, and there is the copy of Hot Bike right there with the review in it...and he says..."too high tech for me I guess"
Am I dealin' with a dinosaur?? Am I missin' something? I mean he didn't even want to SEE it!! NO interest whatsoever... Made me feel like an *** really...I guess my point is this... I want the person workin on my bike to be excited about what it is we're doing... I'd gone to him before about the single disc front... and he wasn't really into it... I don't know it kinda ruined my high so to speak... Am I wrong?? Am I missin' something? What do you all think??? I left w/o ordering the tire and went to another guy in town... And he said... " You're not doing that are you???? "

Dont second guess yourself, you have seen how trick that brake looks on other bikes here, he is just pissed cause he didnt sell it to you, why buy a big cool 21" wheel and then cover it up with rotors, but hey, if you dont want the brake send it back, I will take it back, no worries, I'm like that with everything I sell, but do your self a favor, mount it first, and your buddy at the indy shop, needs to learn a little bedside manner. Just cause it didnt come from his shop, and he knows nothing about it, sure as heck dont mean it's not cool. He said it best "to high tech", and really that aint even right, it aint that high tech, it's just new, bet you he changes his mind when you roll up next time.
Hey, you are gonna love the 21" when you get her on. I will be lookin to put on the 360 brake next winter, just couldn't swing it this year. Good Luck, hope you find someone to help you with it. Got any buddies that can give you hand. If you lived somewhere near me, I could give you a hand, its really not to hard. Once you get the tire put on the wheel.
Bart... NO WAY i'm sendin' that puppy back!! It is absolutely gorgeous... Nice try tho...I didn't mean I was second guessin myself on gettin it... Just made think WTF?? ya know... Maybe I got the wrong guy wrenchin... And I think you nailed it with the "bedside manners" bit... Oh well, I'm over it..just needed a little ventin... Thanks againBart...Its pure...and I'll get ya some pics soon...
I guess I'm also ignorant and have never seen the 360 brake. Do you have a link so I can un-ignorate myself?
It was more inthe way he said it and his attitude towards it... I certainly don't expect him to be up on EVERYTHING going on...
Like I said no biggie and I'm over it...
Does anybody have any pics of the 360 on a bagger? I have yet to see, and am interested in doing this in the future as well. Can't stand the stock brakes, and if I'm going to upgrade wheelsand brakes anyway's...if you have some, post them please.
