Just got this 09 Electra Glide Classic in December and have only been able to get her out a few times for about (300 miles total). Still thinking about the setup, but the bike came with leather saddle bag lid covers. I was going to add the standard Harley ones anyway but cant decide if I like the flames on the covers: So with or without flames? go ahead bash away!
Personal preference man. Why care what anyone else thinks? If you do care what I think then I want to know why you want any covers at all?
Don't really care but just interested in others thoughts. Taking a pulse if you will. Plus, just want to talk bike stuff as I am getting stir crazy due to winter. Just want some type of covers to keep the boots from scraping the lids when getting on the bike.

Well, I can tell you my boots have never touched my bags.
I can also tell you that transparent covers are made so you can protect paint w/o looking like you have covers.
In the 80's lots of people put bra's on their cars thinking it protected the front end. Bugs, stones, etc. What was often found is that a bra was removed later to find that dust, dirt, debris, got under they bra and ruined the paint. Something to think about.
My 2˘ is that leather covers look terrible. If you do keep flames then you should get a matching flame seat.
