Ok, I'm new to having a trunk on a bike,and maybe this has already been addressed, but I couldn't find it by using the 'search' function:
I was just looking at my Tour-Pak today and noticed that the metal plate inside has two sets of mounting holes, spaced an inch apart. By removing the five nuts/bolts, you can move the trunkback an inch, if you want a little more room for your passenger.
Ok, you can all say 'Duh, we already knew that' now.

I moved mine back and the wife didn't like it, she said didn't like the feeling that she was at the end of the seat. I moved it back to the original position.

It is stable I just drilled new holes through the plate and moved it back one inch It worked out great If you buy one get the one from George Anderson and save some major bucks
hey just found that out myself! still not sure its enough tho.....gonna have to spend some time with the girl back there and my backrest on to find out.......when the rain stops.......
