I am 5'4" and tippy toe my 14 SGS. It is going to the dealer next week to have the low profile front mono tubes installed Part # 45500157 (specific to the 14 SG with the premium hand adjustable rear suspension). I will give an update when I get it back. I also changed out the seat to a low profile solo. If that isnt low enough the next step will be 11.5" rears. (only a 1/2 inch difference but might just do the trick).

Don't buy the super reach seat, trust me your ***** will thank you. Send your seat to mean city cycle for the super narrow mod. Have a little more sole put on your boots. If you can find some lowering tubes for the front that will be your biggest bang for the buck, drop it 1.5 in and you will be amazed how much difference it makes.

Same boat as you. Mean City and boots. No problems. You will get used to how you fit. Boots probably better solution than the seat. Do the memory foam though.

You know, on the '14s you can loosen the triple tree clamps and slide the tubes up about an inch. I did and that was about all I needed on a Sundowner seat. Took me about 45 minutes all together.

I'm 5'-7" and went from a softail Deluxe to an Electera-Glide Classic. 24" to 29". I could flatfoot while setting on the bike but was straight legged and didnt have any flex in the knees to backup or manuever around. Put on a Streetglide seat and a Arlen Ness 1" lowering block kit. Did the trick. I was thinking that I would have to drop the front as well but now I dont believe I will. A friend of mine had a used set of shocks rebuilt and shortened 1-1/2" by Bitchin Baggers out in Phoenix and installed them on his Streetglide. Has had no problem with bottoming out or rough ride even though he is rather portly. I might eventually go that route myself.

Send you rear stock shocks off to bitchin baggers in Mesa, AZ. They are about the only company out there that can rework your stock shocks to a shorter length. Cost you around $200 total.

I am also 5'6" and had to almost tippy toe it on my 2014 ultra classic. That was, until I sent my seat to mean city for the mod. These folks are awesome, I had my seat back with less than a week of down time, cost way less than any other mod. And leaves to stock suspension to do what it was designed to do. I can now safely carry my girl around and sit flat footed with no problems. I highly recommend try this method. I came off an 07 ultra that was lowered and thought I would have to lower my 14, but then I came across this site and introduced to mean city seat mods. Thank you everyone!

I'm 5-foot-6 and had same issues. I tried the HD shorter shocks, but I wanted to go a little lower. I sent my stock shocks to Bitchin Baggers and they shortened the shocks. These shocks lowered my bike 1.5?inches. The HD lower shocks lower the bike .75 inches. I also use the regular reduced reach seat, which has been around for a while. I weigh 140 and my wife is 125. We've traveled through 42 states and I'm happy with the ride.

im sorry but I see this way to much..... WHY IN THE HELL IF YOU CANT FLAT FOOT IT WHEN STOPPING A BIKE WOULD YOU BUY IT ? further more can you lift the bike on your own if you drop it ? and honestly if your not stable when your stopping the bike with just you on it why in gods name would you want to put someone else at risk if you drop it ?
yea yea yea I know its your money buy what you want. but I bet there is a bike just as good that would have fit you better. did the stealer tell you that you fit the bike great? he lied to you. I guess people really are out more to look cool then have fun and be safe if you see my bike at a stop light stop 50 ft back from me.
And btw im 5'8 flat foot it very easy. and have never lowered my bike or anything. I mean I guess I read the ride height of the bike atleast before I bought it. but to stand on your toes as you try to stop an 800 lb bike is just stupid

Oh, I don't know..... Because I CAN. And I'm 5'6" and KNOW I can make a few changes and it WILL fit me. I tell you what, you make the changes you want on your bike. And if there's nothing constructive that comes to mind when reading a post, well then, move on. NONE of us come on here to get flamed. We ask (mostly) honest questions seeking (mostly) honest answers.....
