I have a 2012 RGC...ThunderMax , V&H power duals, K&N full flow air cleaner. Am getting ready to install either of the above cams...anyone that runs these in the engines with stock heads I would appreciate your input.
I have the Andrews 54H's and very happy with them. To be fare, the 57's weren't out when I got mine a while back.
05train & Redbeard both are installing these now or soon. Both will work with an 103" and 110" and some may choose to go with a .030 head gasket.
Others will chime in but both are real good cams in my option. Andrews cams make a whole lots of grinds for many of the most popular aftermarket companies out there.
Nature of the beast, I needed to check/replace lifters, so why not go with new cams, right?
I'm also doing .030 head gaskets which will get me around 9.5-9.8 : 0 CR. Reusing my stock push rods. S&S Premium Lifters too, and some Torrington inner cam bearings. Making the most of some preventive maintenance.
Hopefully I'll get some time with the bike this week to complete the install, but I've got three bikes in the garage right now, all in various stages of disassembly.

I'm running the 54s in my 103, but I also switched out the HGs for .030 Cometics as the 54s like a little more compression than the 57s. If you're not going to change HGs & have no further plans for future mods to your engine I'd go with the 57s, if you think you might want to do some headwork or a 107 in the future I'd recommend going with the 54s.
I had the 54H in my 2011 Road Glide Ultra with stock gaskets, PC-V w/auto tune, power duals, 4"stouts and boyesen power intake. It never lacked for power anywhere for over 38,000 miles. Either 54 or 57 will great in 103". New cams in 14 Limited are decent for EPA cams and will leave alone for now. Maybe our winter will be gone by June.
I'm running 54s with compression bump and pretty happy (109tq/99hp), getting the heads done next week, but 57s were designed for stage 1 103s and a better choice without other mods.
I'm also doing .030 head gaskets which will get me around 9.5-9.8 : 0 CR. Reusing my stock push rods. S&S Premium Lifters too, and some Torrington inner cam bearings. Making the most of some preventive maintenance.
Interesting.....?
You are going to use the stock pushrods?
Is the base circle on the 57H the same as the stock cam? Will the stock push rods only fit with .030 head gaskets?
I'm running the 54's and very happy with all ends of performance. My tq # is low because of the large rear tire, the weight I guess. My tuner said it kills the tq # on the dyno. He with a normal tire, it should be around 108 to 110tq. At the time of dyno, I was running a 205-55-16 CT.
