Need help on comparing LED headlights

Need help on HD LED turn signals
It is for my 2000 FLHR.
In the harley catalog it says the LED front turn signals lights are for 2001 and up I was wondering why they would not work on my bike? I asked the dealer and he said they should work but if they dont the dealer wont take returns on electrical parts.
