Buttonheads with nylock nuts are just part of my travel prep. Damn shame, but I seriously doubt the bags would be found local and Las Vegas seems to have become the "Honey Hole" for bag thieves.
A friend of mine was staying at the Grand Hotel in downtown Las Vegas. He parked his 2010 limited in the motorcycle parking area in the hotel garage. Sure enough in the morning his saddle bags were gone. The bike is blue on black. If anyone is cruising eBay or Craigslist and comes across blue on black saddle bags let me know please. There is little hope of recovering them but worth a try..
Thanks in advance!
With the camera systems all of those hotels have, they should have a cam in the parking garage, if they can't produce a video, it's an inside job!! just IMO!
that sucks. but the first thing that any one with a bagger should do is change out the attaching hardware for a more secure fix. either buy it pre made or make it your self (discussed in depth else ware)and lock your bags when away from the bike.
This is a widely know issue in and around Vegas and SoCal, so if traveling and staying at a Hotel why not just take them off at night and bring them to your room?
Seems like an easy enough solution to me to avoid a major headache....
Can these jokers get them off w/o tripping the alarm system on the bike or wasn't it set? Or ws it lacking that $40 add-on siren module from the MOCO?

this is what i did also. pain in the *** to take them off and on, but worth it.
