Faster flashing and key light on are the only consequences of not using the equalizer. No damage will occur. The EQ shown from eBay is not the Custom Dynamics version and may be missing the circuitry responsible for the key light. It apparently works for the load to control the blinker speed. The CD unit costs more and it connects to the battery too.
This is it. It could be related to your install, but if the light stays on you have an active code in the TSSM or TSM if you do not have security. The only way to get it to go out is to reset code and fix the problem that is causing the code. Do a code search on the speedo and you will have a better idea on the actual problem
I been reading this string because my 06 Electra Glide red light stays on.
It does show a DTC code of b1121 which is left turn signal module I think.
Took off seat and stared at the bird nest of wires and connectors and undid and redid them all that was behind the battery. Before I did this the light stayed on while running but EVERYTHING worked just fine. NO Problems but the red light. I think it has LED but not sure. It does have a long pink connector that appears to be not stock that feeds two big pin connectors.
I just bought this bike and I have described and done way above my normal abilities. I cleared the code but have not rode the bike since I did all that and before the red light would come on when I engaged a turn signal.
Simple question Should I care about the red light if all works well but it stays on?? Seems to be some feel no biggie and that is fine with me lol.
Thanks for any input as I realize this tread is several months old but you never know.
