Default Klock werks flare with apes
Anyone rockin the 6.5 flare with a set of apes? I just ordered the flare windshield to try, but I like my apes push forward. Wondering if I'm gonna have to pull the bars back some to accommodate the bends in the flare.

Post up some pics please?

I don't recall if mine is the 6.5 or 8.5 but it works with my apes... I will try and confirm tonight.

Not sure what kind of bars you have, but the KW Flare did not work out for me. I loved the windshield when I had my stock bars, but I then swapped to 12" monkey bars and the bars had to be pulled back way too much for me. I ended up with a windsplitter even though I really like the flare better.. Take care

You'll have to notch the flare a bit to clear 14" apes. A dremel with sanding barrel and some patience is all you need. I don't run my 6.5" KW anymore.

my 14 mayhems r right at the shield.. any taller and they would hit unless u pull the bars back.. I asked the same question a few months ago.. I don't like the way it looks anyway..

The Klock Werks didn't work well for my 10" Yaffe MBB either. I have long arms so I pushed the bars forward as far as I could. KW shield was touching bars and didn't look good. Went to a LRS 7".

Klock Werks is over rated anyway in my opinion. If you don't have the height just right and have to look through the recurve it's like a bad acid trip.
