Default How i fixed headlight visor ring gap

remove assembly
Reinstall with acquired washers between faring and headlamp assembly
Place OEM ring inside new visor ring the way it would go on.
Now spin, so the top of the old ring is centered in the gap of the new ring and mark the old ring on both sides of the gap and cut out this section that you have marked/ Making the old ring the same size as the new ring. Place clip as shown spanning the gap and reassemble!

Excellent idea. I just mounted my new rings a couple weeks ago and wondered about doing this same thing. My concern was the old ring being solidly mounted after being cut....it looks very solid..

If you decide to do this you will find that when finished it will be a stronger fit afterwards than it was to began with. I am so pleased with this fix!!!!!! And very easy!
