Was it a "barking" noise? Heard that one time when in traffic at Sturgis, turned out to be rear cylinder ignition cuts off in high heat condition at idle.
Scared me!
It's more of a whining noise. And the rear cylinder cut off is disabled.
If was pretty well warmed up and you were just creeping ahead and stop, creeping some more and stop, etc. Could be Neutral Rattle. This has been talked about many times.
So without having to go through past posts, this is nothing to be worried about?

Your bike is not even broke-in yet. Run it hard over the next couple thousand miles and see how it performs. If you still think there's a problem then get it checked out. Too many riders run to the dealer every time they hear a strange rattle. Harleys make a lot of different noises. And they often happen at different RPMs. I bought my Street Glide new in 2009 and I still hear slightly different noises that I swear wasn't there before. However, as long as it's running/performing well I don't worry about it.
Check your bolts on your exhaust shrouds. Then check the bolts on your floorboards. I would also check your saddlebag mounts. Some noises can migrate so there may be something lose on the left side but you are hearing it on the right. You are not really broken in yet so I would keep track of what and when you hear it. If it is really annoying you just take it in. Be prepared for them to tell you its "normal".
I thought I would wait until a couple thousand miles. I do ride it like I own it. Love that bike. Best one yet. I do have two years unlimited miles. So I might wait awhile. If it's loose bolts on the floorboard or anywhere else, it would not just do it when I pull the clutch in on 1st gear only.

As it turns out, it IS the rear cylinder shutting down. I thought the salesman that went over the bike showed me on the display that the EITMS was disabled. It turns out it was not.
