Thanks everyone. 1000 mile service due. $405.00. You get $95.00 off if you bring it on a Thursday. I'll be all over that. I will wait for it. Stuck in a Harley dealer for 2 hours...I think of worse things.

Charging $310 for an oil change and checking every third bolt is unconscionable.

Well I found out what the noise was. I took the bike in for it's 1000 service. When they drained the transmission fluid, they found metal filings in the fluid. They checked and it was a bearing. 3 hours later I was on the road. I'm going to check the fluid at 500 and 1000 miles to make sure its ok. They said it was a defective bearing. No Sh&%t!

IF you were in 1st gear going to fast it will whine. More noticeable when decelerating. I try not to put it in 1st until I come to close to a complete stop.

It was a defective race bearing. I put it 1st when I'm almost stopped.
