Default Daymaker lights

I have a 2012 Limited and we tend to add something new to it yearly. This year the missus says that we should upgrade the lighting from Halogen to LED. As a minimum we are looking at the headlight and spots but we may go all the way and do the turn signals and brake light also.
We have considered HD Daymaker parts and are also looking at aftermarket like kuryakyn Phase 7. The difference in price aside whats the perception of HD parts vs. aftermarket?

I run with the Black Daymaker cause I like the color and it matches my bike.

I'm running the Trucklites for over a year now and am very happy with them. I also changed the headlight bezel since they tend to stick out more than the HD lights. Had Custom Dynamics convert all the other lights to LED over 2 trips to Daytona. The headlights and passing lights I did myself.

Check out the thread in the parts for sale "touring".

"Napa has Truck lite for sale $160.00 till end of March."

Great price, and some good reviews from the bat wing boys.

I recently installed the HD Reflector LED and am very happy with it. It's similar in design to the Truck-Lite 7 and I'm running it on a SG without aux lights and can see great. The HD Reflector cost more than the TL7, but it fits and looks better IMO. The Reflector LED can also be viewed better from a angle than the HD projector LED IMO. Best price I found was through Kutter HD.

I just bought the daymaker reflectors for my 13 ultra limited. Almost got projection but decided on reflectors for more of an old school look and no blind spots!

I also changed my '12 Limited's halogen head and spot lights. I went with the HD day makers. Night and "day" difference over stock. I do recommend doing the spots at the same time as the headlight. Will need them to fill in the areas the headlight cuts off in a low speed cornering turn. In combination they are great. Turn signals and rear brake light are Kuryakyn Panacea and trunk and lower rear fender light are Custom Dynamics. Very pleased with the look and function of everything. Good luck with your decision. Remember, it's about seeing and being seen. :-)
