What's your favorite route planner? I am looking for one that allows multiple stops and stopping time to be calculated in.
A couple months ago, I came across one that was free and would allow you to add multiple stops and add in stop times so you could easily calculate where you'd be at a given time. But being that I am thick headed, I didn't bookmark it and I'll be damned if I can find it again.
It's kind of like myrouteonline but not a paid service. I'm not looking for google, mapquest, garmin, or yahoo.
My route planner is to look and see where the sun is shining, then I go that direction. I don't get caught up in where I am going to be at what time. I am out there for the ride. I tried going with a plan once, wound up driving over a beautiful mountain pass after dark, couldn't see a thing, pity. I haven't made it back there to see it in the daylight. Sorry, but I can't help with any trip planners.

Yes, this is about 95% of our riding. But, I do have cases where a planner would be handy. We are planning to do the IBA Bun Burner 1500 in a couple weeks. Seeing as how time is everything for this trip, I want the route planner to help plan the ride and calculate stops. Since we already did the IB 1000, I know what our fuel stops and stretching breaks time takes.
I've used MS Streets & Trips for this for years. It's not free, but I only repurchase it every couple years so this keeps cost to less than $40/yr.
It allows custom start times, custom stops with adjustable stop times, allows gas tank size & mpg settings, tank reserve level setting for calculating fuel stops. Adjustments to travel speed for various road types & much more. It can print directions, ride sections, turn by turn directions with maps, etc. It will also import/export trip data to *.gpx file format.
Directions include estimated arrival time for next direction point, trip mileage at that direction point, and a trip summary that includes total trip miles, total trip time, total driving time & total trip cost based on your inputted average mpg & cost per gallon.

Thanks, had not thought about that one. I'm downloading the 14 day trial right now.
That's the one but when I was using bing, it would open some page and a message box would pop up telling me how great I was for saving the world by using less fuel or some other BS like that.... So, I just moved on thinking I was at the wrong site because I didn't remember that when I stumbled upon it the first time.
It then dawned on my that I had disabled my popup bloker earlier in the day so I could search the TABC website for signage info (CHL holder) on a sports bar. Now that I turned on the blocker I realize it's the same site.
Thanks for pointing me back in the right direction.
