Had Power Commander tech run me through turning of all diagnostics and anything else that may be an issue. Also firmware is up to date. It's just crazy that Power Commander has not addressed this in their firmware, if this is at all possible.
Just hit the start button right after flipping the switch and it should fire right up. If you wait, the PCV powers down and has to power back up when you start cranking....hence the delay.

Yup.
That's how my PCIII behaved on my last bike. I stopped waiting for engine light to turn off and that solved my hard starts.

Tried that. Only works every now and then. It's hit or miss.
02FLHPI w/retro fit PCV from F/M w/Autotune. Hit the start button and you can not get off quick enough! Fires immediately! Doesn't make any difference if fired now or waiting on light to go out.
09FLHTP w/PCV from F/M, Stage one, spins 3-5 times and fires up. Added cams, new map from F/M, same thing. Not bad, just wondering what is the difference.
I'm thinking, compression releases on the 103 want to get it spinning before firing.
Asked this question to F/M, they said to fire upon turning on ignition. Makes no difference.
Last summer swapped out my fuelPak and went with a power commander 5. It's very slow to start. Sometimes you can hit the run button, then quickly hit the start button (recommendation via other forums) and she'll start right up. But most of the time it takes a while even if I try this procedure. Remove the PCV and it'll start right up every time. I had Power Commander look at my map and it checked out ok. Bike has new starter and battery has been tested three times now. Charging system is good. and battery is on trickle charger when sitting for any length of time. Also getting spark through the whole starting process. It just seems like the injectors are not coming on consistently like they normally do without the PCV. I've heard a lot of threads on this same issue, just trying to see if there is something I'm missing. Not a big fan of throwing money away and have little patience when reliability becomes questionable.
I have the same issue. 2012 street glide PCV mapped by fuel moto, turns over 3-5 seconds before firing. I've tried different timing with ignition/starter engage and have never found and consistently.
