I'm also in the Jackpot camp - 2/1/2 style - I think it was $299. Many people are satisfied with gutted stock pipes which you can do on your own pipe, or buy online for about $125. I'm very happy with my setup.
Hey Trevpjm--- Might as well forget the search function on this forum. It's pretty useless. I have a 2011 Limited Ultra, and was in panic mode after I got it because of all the heat. I thought there was something wrong until I found out about the cat. A buddy of mine had Vance & Hines Power Duals on his, and the heat was what I'd call normal. I put 'em on mine, mainly to get rid of that heat, but they gave me a little more "get up & go" too. Not "doing wheelies get-up-and-go", but it was definitely noticeable.

FWIW, I've found the search function to work pretty well. Another good option is to Google and include hdforum in the search words and you'll be surprised how well that works too :-).

I'm also partial to Fuel Moto, since you have the PV they will gladly send you a map for the setup on your bike. There service is second to none and made all my bikes run great.Good Luck with what ever you decide.
I went with the Vance & Hines Power Duals because if I'm going to pay $500 for an aftermarket head pipe I wanted it to be noticeable..lol... The power dual has the unique "X" and the quality and engineering of Vance & Hines. It relocates the O2 sensors closer to the exhaust ports for better tuning and sounds great! Eastern Performance Cycle has them on sale for $495 shipped to your door the last time I looked. With that said it comes down to what you like and what you want to spend. The stock head pipe gutted has worked just fine for many and if you don't like the look of the X crossover FM, S&S, and Fulsac all make a 2-1-2 pipe that looks just like the stock pipe. For me it was hard to pay $500 for something that you couldn't tell the difference from the stock pipe.

Ahh, but any of these options will NOT sound like a stock pipe.

True, I have the FM 2-1-2, SE air filter and stock street glide mufflers. IMO sounds great without the cat. Glad I didn't buy the street cannons of other slip-ons as it would probably be to loud for me.
