Yep. Stock clamps and both sets were from a quality company.

thanks for the replies,
fenderguy53: those bars look great, that is what I would be getting if I wanted to go over the fairing

Fordhd2005, and Monkee: how do you like your bars? are they comfortable as far as the hand position? I have 10" HD tallboy bars on now but the grip area is so straight across that I don't like the hand position much. (height is not bad though) Did you have to replace your upper brake line (sounds like some say you have to and some say you don't) my clutch doesn't run trough my fairing so i'm good on that.
Hope I didn't go to tall on the bars, I little high might be ok as long as the fairing is still blocking most of the air, if not... well I guess i'll decide when I see how they are.

sfcmo357: good advice, I do have a set of Gerbing heated glove that I wear when it gets to cold. I love them. I ride sometime in the high 20°'s and would not be able to do it without them. running the wires through my coat sleeve is a pain sometimes though (but worth it) here is a couple pics from a ride over thanksgiving weekend.

I like them...the angle is pretty close to what I remember off oem bars.

I didnt use a longer brake line but eventually will add it since it's a bit short. its fine but I had to angle the master in order to make it fit.

I love them and they are very comfortable. The reason I put them on was because I wanted to change my wrist angles. With the stock OEM bars, my hands were angled out to the right of my wrists. These bars have my hands in line with my wrists. Why is that important to me? It keeps my hands from going to sleep or numb. I'm not a bar hopper so when I ride it's usually for 2 to 300 miles at a time. I think I read in a previous post that somebody said their hands were totally behind the fairing. I don't see how this is possible unless the bars were pulled back half way to the gas tank. Even though they are considered 10" they actually have about a 12" rise on them. I used stock everything with no issues with the exception of running the clutch cable outside the fairing. Hope this helps...

My bars came in last night. Took me 45-60 mins to install (done this to many times) they are just above the fairing but I'm gonna have to deal with it. Only got to take a small ride down the street but I love these bars. Used all the stock cables and wires. Did not do the internal wiring but now that i know I like the bars ill prolly go back and do it. Used my stock clamps for now but I might upgrade to the one pc. clamp when I do the wiring

Using the one piece top clamp is all about keeping the two bars mounts from twisting/moving individually (since they are rubber mounted) and allowing the bar to crack (because there is a hole in the middle of it for internal wiring).

There are pics on this site if you look hard enough.

I didn't know you could wire those externally. I didn't think they were dimpled?

Yes, they are both dimpled and have holes for internal.

That is the best way I have heard it explained, and it makes sense too. Going to get the 1 pc. Clamp now for sure.

Exactly what I said. If you're installing apes and you currently have a 2-piece top clamp, then you need to replace it with a 1-piece, or single-piece top clamp.

You need to edit your post, themouth!!! You're thinking one and typing another.
