Default '11 FLTRX worth?

Hey all! I'm looking for some advice on purchasing a '11 Road Glide! It's got under 4k miles has stg 1= V&H power dual, slipons, a/c & tuner! It's really close to what I've been looking for, the only thing is I was kinda looking for a '13 but I don't think there were many changes between '11-'13! Guy says it's in perfect condition, it's 300 miles away from me so if I go to look at I'll be prepared to bring it home! So what should I be looking for & what would be a good price? KBB has it at $18,850 retail & $14,450 trade! Thanks for any help!

A little more than 1/2 way between those 2 values seems fair...$17K maybe.

No sales tax on a private party sale in AZ if you are in Yuma.

there is an 09 with motor etc in Tucson asking $16-

http://tucson.craigslist.org/mcy/4382892375.html

if inspecting the bike look for obvious signs of abuse- scrapes, salvage title, dings, rubber from burn outs up inside the rear fender.
sloppy careless tool makes on the bolts
service records, look at the guys other stuff- if it's nice, then the bike probably is too.

if time is on your side, you can search farther- check the classifieds on the forums, check cycletrader ( it's not all dealers)
and other sources.
My 09 was up in Kingman and the seller couldn't get any bites on it- I got a great price, thousands less than it would have cost me in PHX

I think between $16,500 and $17,500 would be a good deal. I have my 11 Road King Classic with 3k miles on it listed for $17,200 and cant sell it. Quite a few accessories too. Not really riding season here in Kansas yet so maybe another month or two and it will sell. Good luck

The new RG's are going to be here no later than August. My friend that works at the dealer says wait, he thinks it will be worth it. The old generation of RG's are going to take a hit on resale IF they do a good job on the 2015. That happened to the street glide when the new 2014 SG came out.

$19k seems high, but know what?
if the bike is pristine and you luv it buy it. You will spend a lot more on a new one ( when/if they resume making RG's...if they don't resume making, your bike may appreciate).

Drat !

Well if you are stuck paying tax- think about a dealer.

My Pal, Ron, is SM at RMHD.

why don't you put a call into them and describe what you want and your budget.

careful though he may try to sell you his old FXR.

if you do call, say you are a Pal of Mike the "guitar guy", he'll know who you are talking about.
