If it's warm-to-hot out, I'll leave it off for most rides. I do like the wind.

In the Spring or Fall, or when I'm going to be on the bike for the day, I'll always have a windshield.

Also, after getting the tinted LRS, I enjoy having a windshield on much more! The recurve is perfect!

Below 50 mph or 50 miles trip, no need for a windshield, but any longer or faster, you gotta have it.

i put a 14" tinted and set it up w/a bruckus windshield lock. It's the right height (IMO) to leave it on for the season.

Of course if I want wind in the face, I take the Dyna.

I have the windshield almost all the time. Just too damn comfortable. Plus it gives the RK that classic late 50's early 60's FL look.

I switch out helmet, backrest and windshields all the time. Mostly I run without shield and with the FF helmet and backrest. If i-m wearing skull cap I usually have the shield on. I bought a HD 14" shield and that cuts some of the wind on the chest...usually wear the FF with that and then don't need the backrest. If I am touring it's shield, FF and backrest.

Always on, as I usually always do speeds over 50 mph, but I do like how it looks without!

Most of my riding is on secondary roads 50-60 mph tops, so I ride without. Except when it's only in the 40's when I leave home. Maybe I'll use it on my trip to Ohio... Seven days on the road could be tiring without it, even on secondary roads. The bike is a lot more nimble without the wind pushing on the forks. Joe
