Default Boom Audio Installation Kit

Anyone done this? Other than the wiring directions being written for a Ph.D rocket scientist.....the kit we are installing on my bro's bike is for a FLH, and we have a Road Glide...FLTR. There is a metal bracket that is supposed to be attached to the 2 screws that hold the radio in from the right side. The kit was purchased from a private buyer, and is for a FLH..different metal bracket. Question is, why do we need the bracket? We could glue the navigation module directly to the metal radio bracket on the Road Glide. Any ideas?

Thats funny! Based on the mechanical knowledge you have shown with the glue idea I really hope you hire someone to install it for you.

The instructions say to use the enclosed double sided tape attached to the navigation module already.

1. See Figure 1, Figure 2, or Figure 3. Install the Navigation Interface Module (NIM) (1) on the UNDERSIDE of the module bracket.
a. Clean the underside of the module bracket with a 50-50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water. Allow to dry thoroughly.
b. Remove the liner from the adhesive backing of the module. Carefully position the module to the module bracket with the 6 way connector toward the front of the vehicle.
Press the module squarely and firmly onto the bracket, and hold pressure for about
60 seconds. After releasing pressure avoid direct contact with the module for about
20 minutes.

I DIDN'T COME UP WITH THE GLUE IDEA! It also appears the use of distilled water is a very important step. Gonna hafta get to the stealer today for some HD Water while getting some HD air in my tires.
