My limited came with the iPod module part number: 72647-11. The first two weeks I've had the bike it worker fine. Now the display says iPod Not Respond. Although the music still plays, it doesn't display the songs and the iPod soft keys on the radio do not work. I tried an iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and a iPod Nano. Any suggestions?
I may still be putting in my Alpine stereo that was in my 2005 and sell this radio, iPod interface and CB module. But I just want this stuff to work.
I've heard that Harley states the iPod touch works the best. That being said I get the same thing from time to time using the Touch, I just disconnect and then reconnect my and it seems to work for awhile before I need to do it again. Like you said, songs will still play but I lose the display.
I use my iPod touch in my motor home thru a Pioneer radio and it'll hang up from time to time. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work right again. Don't have that problem when using this setup thru Bluetooth. I think it's a glitch in the software.
christophgage, we had recent issues similar to yours. Talked to an expert, he pushed the bottom center button 3 times and I-pod reset. Works great now. Just something to try and won't cost you anything.. Good luck

actually, it is in the ipod interface module manual. hd designed the system for the ipod nano. though others will work. you can even use a physical hard drive model, though it will give you a warning, and the vibes would probably kill it anyway.
So I found out what the problem was. As I was taking the stereo out to replace it with an Alpine from my 2005 FLHTI I saw that 2 pin connectors for the interface were backed out. I put them back in and all was well. Now I need to get around selling the interface, stereo and CB module!
2012 RG. I have the same problem. iPod not respond.
I disconnect it and reconnect and it works fine, unless the next time ...
This problem should not happen. It's unacceptable. I'm taking mine to my HD dealership and will have them look at it when the problem occurs. I believe it needs to be fixed and Harley is responsible for it.
I have the extended warranty should whatever the problem is it should be covered.
I will update what the root cause of the problem was if it's ever figured out.
Try a different iPod yet? Bad cable or poor connection/connector on iPod. Welcome too. First post after joining 10 years ago on a post thats 4 years old, make a good sniper with that patience.
