I just was just on the HD website and ordered over $300 of parts. The HD website chose a local (MA) HD dealer as the source and added MA sales tax.
On a whim, I changed my local dealer to a NH dealer where there is no sales tax and resubmitted. The shipping price stayed the same, but no sales tax saving almost $20.
...and if you had selected a 20% off dealer, you would have saved more... or you could order direct from their website. (surdyke, Kutter, etc.). I just received an order from Surdyke - 20% off and free shipping and no tax.
when you do your taxes for this year, make sure you report that purchase so MA can get their sales tax! because, you know, everyone does that.
