just installed my 10" paul yaffe classic bagger apes on my 99 RK with fairing, took me about 45 mins. and I used all the cables, lines that were already there. I didn't run the wires internally but now that I know that I like the bars I will probably go back and do that.http://www.ebay.com/itm/271430794060...84.m1439.l2649
per request from papifun i'm posting some pics.
I have 100 miles on them and I love them. they are just over the top of the fairing (which I didn't want) but most of the air still seems to go over my hands.
the bars I had on the bike before the PYC bars was the 10" Harley tallboy touring bars. for both bars being 10" you can see how much taller the PYC bars are.
that seems to be a common thing with the yaffe bars running tall!
i'm glad mine ran tall (mine are 12's).... i like the position they ended up at. mine are over the fairing as well. i get more wind on my hands, but it's not bad (to me anyway)!
So are the tall boy bars for sale? Think they will fit a 2014 streetglide ? I'm looking for bars higher than stock but not over the fairing. Thanks Barry
Edit. According to Harley parts catalog they will fit. Let me know if you want to sell them.
