Yep, the oil temp guage is good, but best part is the oil level part of it....takes some time getting use to the way you use it but is sure easier than unscrewing the cap and checking the level....

I agree. I like the fact I can check my oil level. However you do need to let it sit for a min. or two so it will read some what accurate. Them dip sticks get hot.
Well today we had temps of 91 degreesand I took the interstate 30 miles to my dealer. Ran anywhere between 75-90 mph most of the way and temperature never exceeded 230 degrees and that included a couple of red lights. I do run a PCIII USB with a map from Fuel Moto, RUSH Slip Ons, and K&N High Flow A/F System, Syn 3 Oil....all of which help keep the temperature down. With buttloads of torque (I ride a little agressive sometimes) I'm still getting 41 mpg. I'm satisfied.
P.S. I just got back from an evening run and the temperture was 200 degrees. Never got over 55 mph. Stayed in high gear and just torqued it up and down the hills.
My carbed 05 FLHT with 95" kit and cams tops out at around 230, but only after 40+ minutes of two up riding. I have the fairing mounted guage with the sensor in the pan.
