Two questions. What does the numbers in the boxes mean and I thought I read something about boxes turning different colors. Just starting to use my auto tune with wide bands on my 07. Thanks
Best way I can explain it....every time you "hit" a box information is written into that area of your tune. It will turn a couple different colors, but the ultimate color it will finish with is red. I think it goes yellow, orange then red but I can't remember off the top of my head (I'm deployed and it's been a few months since I auto tuned my bike).
7 is the number of hits to turn each cell red, and the minimum number for the data to populate the new cell value in the autotuned program. If you don't hit 7 or more in each cell, that cell won't be updated in the autotuned map. Find some hills and load the bike at various speeds and RPM values to populate the cells across the grid.
I've been using the PV for a few days and only saw values populate once, and only a few locations. I've taken about 4 rides of 10-20 miles each and can't figure out what's going on. I started with Jaimes tune and it ran rich and wouldnt idle so i wanted to perform some auto tunes to get it dialed in, but i cant get the values to show up let alone turn turn red green etc.
While you are in the green screen there is a Mode button, make sure you have it set to "Hits". There are 4 or 5 different modes. I don't think the cells will change colors if you don't have it set to Hits.
