this is my 11.with 10" LA Chopper Twin Peaks bagger bars. stock wiring, cables, brake lines. went with a new SE tbw for ease of wiring. did all the work myself. pulling wires was a challenge but take your time and lots of wire lube and all goes well.

Here's my two cents. An overwhelming majority of people on the forum seem to believe that the answer to touring bike handlebar discomfort is to figure out how high a pair of ape hangers they need. I disagree. Long ago on my Road King I went with the Chubby's 508's, which they market as a "Road King Bar". Low hand position, closer to you with what many call the "wheelbarrow" effect. Your upper arms are almost hanging straight down. It is the most comfortable ride I ever experienced. The wheelbarrow effect resulted in a rotating of the forearm as opposed to the twisting of the wrist to turn the throttle, which can be extremely uncomfortable if your wrist are not at the perfect angle. I found that the rotating of the forearm to be much more comfortable on a long ride. Those bars would not fit on my Batwing, so I just had BR Bars make me a set for my Road Glide. Bottom line is that I would suggest thinking outside the "ape hanger" box. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Check out the Wild1 Cubby web site. Personally, I like the Road King 517 bars.

I needed the bars to come up a little and back a little to make me comfortable. Khromewerks +2 sweepers worked for me. Cheap to buy, all stock wiring worked as well as the stock abs brake cable, needed a 3" longer clutch cable and was good to go.
