Can anyone comment on V&H Monster Round Pipes as far as sound goes? I don't want to do a complete exhaust right now, but definitely want a Harley sound. I've read conflicting posts on this. @Bigfish - there is no dealer freight or setup fees. The only other fee is $100 document fee that I believe most dealers are charging now. My total cost out the door is $18,990.50.
Monster Rounds have a nice, deep tone.

If you're still following this thread, why not try to counter with an offer of $17,700.00 AFTER TAXES? You have nothing to loose!!

FYI, MSRP on a 13 RKC is $19,900, not $21K.

@keithhu- you are correct on the price for a vivid black. This bike is the two tone ember red/merlot with the smooth wheel option. I think the price goes up for a two color paint scheme and the smooth wheel option is close to $500. As for price, I've negotiated all week. They were at $18,499 and I got them down to $17,700. The sales manager said he's never sold a new Road King for $3500 under msrp, but needs this bike off of the floor to make room for the 14's. I'm surprised this bike has lasted this long, but after all it's in Dayton, Ohio. Economy is still pretty weak here.

Why do you want to move from the FatBoy?

The ride wasn't so comfortable after a few hundred miles and by the time I add a windshield, saddlebags, cruise control, I am better off just buying a road king. I do love the styling of the Fatboy though. It's a great bike!

That's a smokin deal, better hurry, it's Friday and people will be out buying bikes. I would be there when they open the doors.

You must be dealing with F&S. Great bunch of guys up there. I bought 3 bikes from them over the years. I just wanted to say hi to a fellow Middie!
