Default Kuryakyn - Really?

I have in the past found the occasional piece from them useful (mounting bracket, highway pegs), is it just me or is 99% of their stuff some of the most god-awful looking crap you've ever seen? Who designs this stuff? I'm not speaking about the quality of it, simply the look of it.

What's your opinion?

By and large their products are very good quality, but yes, some of their products are just ugly as hell.

People buy their stuff otherwise, they wouldn't sell it. You don't like, don't buy. I don't have a single Kuryakyn product on mine - just my preference.

People must be buying their stuff or they'd be out of business.
To each his own.
If everyone liked the same things, the world would be a boring place.

My opinion is that they stand behind their products.
If you have purchased one of their items and it fails due to what ever reason you can go to them at a rally and show them and they will 9-10 times replace it, no questions/receipts needed.

Try that w/HD products and see what happens.

You cannot even take back an item at your local HD w/out a receipt even though they have it in the computer that you bought it from them.

As far as "some of the most god-awful looking crap you've ever seen" well as they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
On the other hand you could very easily say that some of HD's crap should not have even been put on the bike it is that cheap. Why did they even bother?

There are only so many manufacturers in the world and HD and Kuryakyn much of the time buy from the same one.
They have the manufacturer change the package.

Nothin' wrong with after-market parts.

If you think OEM is where it's at, you've been drinkin' way too much of the Kool-Aid.

Was just telling my wife last night as I was searching EBAY for a good 2 up seat, that I wouldn't put their stuff on MY Harley! But I know people that use their stuff alot. I guess it's all about preferences!

Harley dealers promote their products. Rivco's adjustable passenger pegs are vastly superior in design, plating and construction, and made in USA.
I used to ask dealers to carry it instead of the Kurys which make your peg mounts shear off on pre-09s. None will carry it as they get penalized for selling non HD or non Kury.
