It's good out of the box. Enjoy!
Radio speakers most likely suck though. My 09 were cheap. Dont know if they are any better in 2013. That was the start of my upgrades.

Well you are at it, see if you can test ride a Road Glide and a Road King as well. One of those might feel better. Everyone has different likes...

+1 on that..That's what I did and it helped a lot up till about 70mph.I wear prescription glasses and without the Klockwerks my glasses may just pop out.The stock shield does nothing.

People complain about wind buffeting. I have none with a stock windshield and where a half helmet. Radio is good speakers are good have had no problem. It cranks. Speakers sound fine no distortions or lack of ability to hear them. Unless you're tying to make your entire city hear your bike it's plenty fine. Give someone a perfect set of **** they will still find something wrong with them. As for a heavy bike lol Um... ya unless you are bench pressing the bike no worries as long as you are able to understand the concept of big bikes and friction zones. One who thinks the bike is to heavy should not be on the thing in the first place. I can do a safety course no problem with this bike. Anything I mean anything would be heavier then a Dyna. Sh*t a Fatboy would be way heavier then a dyna.. lol

Also had a 2010 wide glide and best decision I ever made was upgrading to a 2012 street glide. Best bike IMHO.

Depending on how tall you are, you might get some annoying turbulence at 65+mph. There are a few mods starting with a taller windshield to get rid of it. After that its smooth. No big deal. You'll quickly forget that it's 850 pounds. You're gonna be hooked. 8)

Agreed. The stock shorty shield looks sporty, but it causes so much wind buffeting that it has to go. I went with a 7" shield from Long Ride Shields and use a 10" in the colder months.

Default Update.

BLOODY DEALERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

today i went for my test ride on what i thought was a 2013 model, the one i saw last week. i wandered into the showroom, and there it was, still on the sales floor. bit strange i thought, its suposed to be outside, gassed up and waiting for me.

i was then told my test ride was on a NEW 2014 rushmore model.
so off i toddled for a few hours. first impressions were (baring in mind i live in London, UK), very different in built up city traffic to the glide. never had a heel-toe shift before, or boards. took some getting used to.

once on the motorway (freeway, to you lot over there), i couldnt believe how smooth it was. like sitting in a comfy chair. as a bone stock bike with only 600 miles on the clock, i was very impressed with it. as an added bonus, the brakes actually worked. a lot different to the dyna.

the only negatives were things i had been told about on this thread,
severe head buffeting at speeds over 65mph, and the seat was like a bloody razorblade.

after a few hours blasting around i returned the bike to the dealers.
we talked trade in figures, and the general consesus was leave the 2013 on the shop floor and buy a rushmore.

BLOODY DEALERS.

i went expecting to pick up a used bargain, and came away with an order for a brand new 2014 model. i will have to wait 3 months for it, as the UK dealer network has sold all their allocated stock.

all i need to do now is order the mustang, and get me a taller screen.
thanks for the advice, im sure i will be back asking more questions when i get it.
