Well, I have 114 miles on my 07 FLHRS, came from factory with the 0903 adjustment, and riding in 50 degree weather:
1. No pings, knocks, or unusual heat.
2. LCD Dip Stick showing oil temp. 197 to 215 degrees.
3. Shifting like 15, 25, 35 mph, etc., smooth.
4. 6 th. gear once at 55 mph, o/k, but 60+ mph would be ideal I think.
5. Not pushing it, but torque / power is surprisingly nice, really nice, I am impressed.
6. I am tempted to just add Supertrapp SE's and not touch a/c, download, etc. Hate to mess with what seems so nice.
I will be happy with my 07 EG once I get it the way I want, right now have D&D slip ons 13" apes from cyclesmiths, KY adjustable passenger footpegs (If the wife aint happy..no ones happy) couple things to help the crow syndrome I am afflicted with, still need to replace clutch cable gets a bit tight when I turn to the right even with cable outside of fairing, want to get the floorboard extended along with brake and shifter lever....but as far as the dreaded 5th gear noise,if I hadnt allready heard so much about it not sure its that noticeable love the 96 cubes thanx HD for finally getting that extra gear...its all good...Tom.
Got my 07 Ultra out for the first ride last Friday. Spent a little over an hour on it and found no noises, whines etc. The engine does like to over 2000rpm. Don't lug it especially during breakin. I found 6th was best at 65+. Didn't feel any heat but then it was only about 40 deg outside. We'll see how hot it is at 80 deg this summer.
