right out of the box and on to my road glide was perfect... i don't know how one could be disappointed in this light... i love it, it is so bright, i can see everything....
as for install it was super easy... the hardest thing for me was putting my front fairing back on.... if you have a roadie then you understand what I mean.
if its going on a street glide or an ultra, do the install yourself... if you own a screwdriver and know how to loosen and tighten things you can do the install.
I used blue painters tape on garage door to mark height of Factory bulb on my 2012 S.G. Then installed Truck Lite Phase 7 LED headlight [ 1 beer job ] and adjusted to the OEM bulb height. Huge difference!
