Question Cover or not?

To the guys who have their bike under a carport;

Been reading all the posts about cover or no cover. I live in NM were its pretty dry. Im storing the bike under a carport and it still gets dusty. I does drive me nuts because it shows pretty easily. Now i have heard covers scratch bikes. So should i try to get a cover? Will the dust eventually get under the cover? Should i just use the sheet method? Or should i not worry about it and just continue to dust it off everytime?

Thanks guys!

Sheets work for me, but a small amount fine dust can still get thru.

Mine's under a carport with a Guardian full cover over it that has vents and openings for the antennas. Had it on several bikes with no issues. Any covering that's not completely sealed is going to let in some dust. Best I can do for now....

you could go to a fabric store and buy a big hunk of fleece to use as a soft first layer, cheap easy to clean to remove dust.

My Dad has been using this method years while hauling his bike as a buffer between the covers and shiny stuff, his bike look great.

A cover is way better than no cover
Yes, a garage us best if you have one, but if not, you need to do what you can to protect your toys.
I use one on the bike and on my car. No scratches if you get a decent cover.

Unless you know your bike is spotless I think it will scratch the paint over time, just my 2 cents.
