Hi all,

For my fellow riders in the toasty southwest...do any of you run 20W60 synthetic during the summer?

Have you and if so, have you noticed any difference as far as valve noise, etc.

Coming up on next oil change in a couple thousand and was curious. My primary riding is in Tucson with a weekly trips up to Phoenix.

Let me know....

Duff

You will be fine with 20/60 out there, some say it is quieter.

Straight 60 in a synthetic will perform exactly like a 20/60. I don't use synthetic in my engine but cold flow is where synthetic really shines in these engines.

I'm using syn3 20w50.
It works fine
360 20w50 in the Evo and Pan.

I do like my oil cooler.

Default Still noisey

I tried going from 20w50 redline to 20w60 and that didn't help much with noise.

The thing that did help was switching to Dino.

Dino quieted the primary, the transmission and the motor in my TC 103.
