Default Assistance with problem

I have a 2008 Harley Fltr Roadglide. The bike has been sitting up approx. 1 year. Went to start it today and experienced the following problem. After lighting up the ignition placing the run button in the run position I hit the start button and nothing happened. No click, no turnover of engine, just a dead switch. Had my battery professionally tested, and I checked it with a volt meter, all indications are a good battery. Checked all fuses, all good. Went thru the few troubleshooting steps of the manual and everything is within the guidelines. Every time I push the start button I get the same response which is no response. It acts as if it could be an electrical problem but at the same time not getting the engine to even try to turnover. Not sure now where the problem is. I know it could be anything from an ignition relay, to the starter solenoid, to the starter itself. Can anyone help me in narrowing the problem down and where to start troubleshooting from this point. All help will be greatly appreciated. cycler158

Default I admit it..

Make sure the kill switch in not in the on position…….
Yes; I learned the hard way…. pushing and jumping, over and over…. I wasn't too far from the house so I pushed it back.. yea, I know.
Got back to the house (I was 16) and a neighbor that was outside saw me; he walked over…. click. That was it. I felt so stupid… but I learned…

Thanks for the input but I've tried both of these remedies and neither one worked. I also changed the battery in the FOB just to be sure and that didn't work either. Any other suggestions?

Possibly corrosion in the kill switch, not making a good contact when you switch it on. (?) Try working the switch several (25) times.

I'm going with dead batteries in the key fob. It happened to a friend of mine. It's either that or you have a nest of mice living under your fairing. lol

With the ignition turned on and the run switch on you should hear the fuel pump start if not the I would bet there is no power even going to the kill switch. I would start with swapping the ignition relay.

Try putting it in gear then back to neutral.

Did you check the ignition fuse?
