Lol.. Over the years we have helped each other out.
I've done the service on his bikes and taught him how to do it himself the right way....
Although he thinks my using a torque wrench on master cylinder screws is a bit over the edge.
They will sound much better than the stock mufflers.
I started with the Rinehart 4" slip-ons using the factory head pipe (with cat) on my 2011.
I rode that way over a year and was happy.
They will be louder than the factory pipes, but not obnoxious.
I finally broke down and added the V&H Power Duals to my bike, keeping the Rinehart 4" slip-ons.
Now they really sound good!
I recently put on a pair of Kerker 4" stouts on my '14' SGS, and although its a bit louder, something is still missing, not quite that HD sound I wanted, but better.
I don't want to void my extended warranty, so I'm not sure where to go next
I put my loud Rush mufflers on with the cat and it was quieter than stock.
Now I run stock mufflers with the cat out and for me the sound is perfect, the Rush mufflers are too loud now.
I installed the Rinehart 3.5" mufflers this afternoon.
The system is much louder than stock, a deeper rumble. I took a 10mi shakedown ride and found them to be roughly 2x as loud a stock, not obnoxious but louder. Here's a phone video of the idle sound (and wind). Thanks all for your input.
