thunderheader mufflers
I was just wondering for thoes who have them, how loud are the thunderheader mufflers....looking to get a 2012 streetglide and looking for muffler options and I want loud...thanx...

thunderheader have a good name, they are louder than I would ever want ( but that's me).
A huge advantage is that they have a deep rasp, not tinny or rattley

Good power and the sound is behind you...loud is not a problem when you are on the road...
Sitting in the heat of traffic (getting through Sturgis) they did blue. I added the covers and they look great again...

I had one on my 08 Ultra. They were ugly and turned color, but sounded awesome. I have D&D Fat Cats now on my 11 Ultra and like them almost as much.

i had a thunderheader system on a softail for about 65,000 miles. loved the sound, but unless the quality of the product is a lot better i would not buy one. got mine in 02 poor chrome not as bright as a lot of other pipes. mounting bracket broke at about 10,000 miles welded it and it broke again in about 8,000 miles. welded it and added a brace and was good from then on. pipe started cracking where the bracket attaches to it welded it. pipe cracked near the front head welded it. pipe cracked near the rear head welded it i think for the price you can get a better built pipe, but the sound the 2 into 1 make is sweet
