Oh, c'mon......I'm calling BS on this one if you are serious. I always wait till my gas gauge shows on reserve and normally put in at least 5.5 gallons. Had 74k miles on the bike and never cleaned the fuel filter in the tank or nothing. Never gave me a bit of trouble. Just a reminder, it gets in the 100's here in Vegas for months on end. So I would call BS on fuel pump cooling.
I agree 100%. The fuel that is flowing through pump is what is keeping it cool.
H-D would have a ticking time bomb on there hands if that pump would overheat and cause a fire or explosion when your fuel got low...
