For my 06 road king. I am considering the hcc kit or buying the cables separate but I don't know how to get the measurement for the length. I'm looking at 16s
They can build you a kit based on bars, cables and extensions. They can even internally wire them for you for an easy plug and play install. Just depends on how mechanically inclined you are, having someone do the work or how deep your pockets are.....
Make sure you buy a 1-piece handlebar clamp and new poly bushings. I think my cables are +8 with 14" Wild 1's. HCC seems to have a pretty good deal there if you go all inclusive, with the bars already wired and cables included. Doing the wiring is pretty easy though. The clutch was a pain for first time I did mine.
Get YAffe OEM Monkey Bars.... I got 16's recently and the best mod I have ever done... ever..
americanclassicsomething or other sells the whole shebang with cables, etc.. you can make a "best offer" for $50 bux less than its listed for and he will take it.. . great deal.. and look AWESOME, and so damn comfortable.
I will check those out. How hard is the clutch cable? That's the only part that concerns me.
Piece o' cake!
Mine took about a half hour to install and adjust. The worst of it was dropping the exhaust, and fighting the snap ring that holds the ramp in place.
If concerned, there are a few videos on YouTube that are worth watching.
Not sure if I have enough posts, but try shooting me a PM if you have any questions. Just went through this a few days ago with my '06 King Classic, so it's all pretty fresh.

Toy work fast ! Took me almost 4 hours from the time I started to the end. I did my bars in 4 days, clutch, then brakes ,then extended wiring and finally the bars and buttoning up the nacelle. Why are most of the things we do on our bikes require 3 hands?

The whole thing went a lot smoother than I initially thought it would. Hit a few snags here and there, but nothing that couldn't be worked out in short order.
I had spent a solid week going over every detail in my head while I waited for the parts to get here. By the time everything arrived, I felt like I had already finished the project a dozen times over.
I do agree that a third hand would have been nice! One to hold the beer, while the other two did the work.
