*Fixed*Problem w/ Engine and Security Lights
I posted this in the Electrical section also -
Lately my engine and security lights have been cycleing twice on start-up. After turning on the ignition they come on for about 4 seconds then go off, then go on for another 4 seconds and go off again. Sometimes when it does this, I hit the starter and I get nothing. I turn the ignitionoff and on again and it fires right up. The bike runs fine otherwise. I recently had the ignition replaced under the '06 recall and thet put in a new fuel sending unit.I alsoupdated the radio to 8.19. Don't know ifany of these have anything to do with the problem. I did pull the Maxi-fuse and radio fuse for 20 minutes for a re-set and still have the problem. Anyone experiencing this or have any suggestion before I call the (gulp!) dealer?

found the problem. It was a code from the other day. I had an mp3 cd in the radio and went to fast forward it. the radio kinda wents nuts and I lost my gauges. Everyting went back to normal when I ejected the cd. Ran the troubleshooting code diag and found the code and cleared it....all is well! (The code refered to the loss of serial data to the speedo.) The engine and security lights only cycle once now (as they should) before hitting the starter.
