Help please 02 RK
OK guys, Need a little help trouble shooting a problem. The other day on the way home the speedo needle started jumping around from high to low and everywhere in between, then appeared to stop working all together. The needle will also bounce around occasionally while sitting at idle. All of the lights and the digital display still show though and the bike stalled one of the times when I pulled in the clutch to come to a stop. The bike started right back up normally though. I broke out my handy dandy service manual and the only thing it really lead me to was cleaning off the speedo sensor, which I did the following day. Took it out for a test ride and all seemed ok for about 1/8 mile and it started acting up again. The bike seems to run fine down the road, it may be a little rougher at idle, but honestly I am not completely sure about that. It is and 02 FLHRI with SE stage one air cleaner, VH Dresser Duals with Monster Rounds and VH Fuelpak. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I have to put out some cash for someone to look at it.

OK thanks. Good to know. That is probably the least expensive starting point anyway.
Any other suggestions welcome also.
