So I'm doing my rear fender on a 13 street glide. Is the cvo mount for the antenna different or just positioned in a different hole? I'm most likely going with top shop sick Rick cvo fender. I know the cvo antenna seats lower and comes out near the strut cover as opposed to the hole in my sg fender. Or should I just go with hd hidden. Thoughts? Thanks in advance on any advice
I know the hidden is the way to go in terms of looks. Just heard so many negative things about the hidden antenna in the fairing. How is the installation to do the internal antenna ?
The install is 10-15 minutes just remove the outer faring and plug it in and position it, but IMO the internal Antenna has lousy reception. The bike will look nice sans the fender antenna but whats the point if it does not work the same. You would think we could get a internal faring mounted antenna that works well, but not so much. If you want to try it email me your address and you can have mine for free just pay the actual shipping
I took my stock antenna off the mount and put a rubber sleeve around it.
Then I ran in between the fender and strut mount then up under the seat.
Cable tied it in place so it doesn't move.
Reception not as good as stock, but way better than the hidden fairing models
