CCW questions are always difficult to answer for me as a cop because I believe in the 2nd amendment.
When I make a stop everyone is a potential threat until I prove otherwise. I know you guys get upset at the cops and there are some douschebags within our ranks, but most are just trying to be carefull and go home to their kids.
I recommend keeping hands in plain view and not making any sudden movements. If you need to reach into your pockets or into a bag to get ID or anything else then explain to the Officer your intentions. If you are carrying a weapon on your person or in a bag immediately let the Officer know! this builds trust and lets the Officer know you are not hiding anything.
I always carry a weapon because I never know when I might run into and especially with my family, but I also have a phylosophy when I ride. If I'm riding in an area where I might need a firearm then I probably shouldn't be riding there. lol
Another thing to be carefull of is Alcohol. Even I can't drink and carry so be aware of that if you try to carry and have a couple.
A crook will hide it and lie 99.9% of the time.
