Adding Upgrades fuel pak, power duals ect Please Help
I posted this in another section and was told I should post it here.
I have a 2014 Road King. What I'm looking for is some good sound (louder, but not crazy loud) and with that any extra performance ect I can get. I purchased a set of Vance & Hines fishtail slip ons (haven't arrived yet) and I plan to get on purchasing a set of V&H power duals, V&H vo2 air intake and the V&H fuel pack (led or lcd?)
My question is..... is this all I need? Do I need to take it into a dealer and need any more tuning or anything else done or will the fuel pack take care of everything for me? I can install all this myself but I have no clue when it comes to tuning ect but would like to avoid taking it to the dealer so that's why I'm trying to stay all with V&H as the fuel pack is advertised as saying no mechanic needed. I guess you put in all your V&H numbers??? Also can I install a V&H throttle pak after installing all this? Will it help?
Just install the slipons and ride it for a while and see how you like it. If you want to change the headers and the intake later, you can add the fuelpak then. If you go with a all V&H system, I'm sure you can call them when ordering and they can set it for your bike and ship it to you.

This is what I was thinking for now. Can run the slip ons with out baffles with a fuel injected bike with out adding a fuel pack?
Fuel Pak will be fine. Have been using one for 5 years. It is a hands off kind of tuner. Put on yer goodies, go to their website, list them in the form provided, and they will reccomend a "map" that you install via instructions. Easy and no dealer or dyno needed. Maybe not as precise as a Power Commander and a dyno, but are you gonna drag race or ride?! If you plan to upgrade past stage one, (larger bore, etc) a Power Commander and dyno will be needed. I am using a Fuel Pak with Monster Ovals, K&N High flow air filter, stock headers and Andrews 21 cams. Works great.
Why does every post have to turn into a Fuel Moto commercial......there are other options.
I think it has something to do with the numbers, meaning the quantity of satisfied customers. I am one of them. Another recommendation would be the Fullsac route with the TTS tuner, but that is a bit more complicated tuner than the PV. But Fullsac is another exceptional dealer with fantastic customer support. Both Fullsac and Fuelmoto offer tune assistance if you buy from them and they have by far the best tunes.

Yes that's all you need. No you do not need to take it to the dealer. Yes just look up the map that fits your exhaust and punch the numbers in. The throttle pak I have no idea but just call or email V&H.
The fuel pak is the easiest part of the installation. I have put them on three different bikes and had no problems. Just don't expect too much from it.
I ran a FuelPak in the past on one of the OL's bikes.
Never again. Nothing wrong with it, per se...
I would go with a flash tuner FIRST, then think about pipes, mufflers and intake.
First choice would be a PowerVision, Jamie is a sponsor and a great source.
Second choice would be a TTS, I used one in the past, and liked it.
Third choice would be the Screamin Beagle product.
And there would be no fourth choice, but I have heard V&H is making a flash tuner, the FP3 maybe? I don't know anything about it.
And if you don't want obnoxious loud, you are not going to like those fishtails with no baffle.....
Simply my 2 cents, and likely not worth that much...
