The new frame design was enough for me to trade my 07 UC. on a new 2011 Limited, I just put some new cams from a 2014 in my 103, so I basically have a "Rushmore" except the mail slot and the bigger forks. Personally if I was on an 07 I would trade up.

There are many worthwhile improvements on a '14 (or even a '09) over your '07. I sure can't think of anything, except weight and maybe the cat, that is actually worse??? With my '09 apart I been riding my '00 more and I really miss my '09. But only you know if it is worth it to ya?

I sold my 08 to a guy that had an 02 and he is just in love with the difference's in handling and especially power.
Told him that is how I feel going from the 08 to the 14 Ultra. Huge difference's in everything. I wouldn't trade my 14 for any Harley that is older. No need to spend a fortune in upgrades it already has plenty of power, ride and handling you could ever need unless your a nut for more.

I bought the 2014 Street Glide Special. I really like the bike, handles great, however the infotainment premium 6.5 touchscreen with navigation has lots of quirks. HD has already released 2 software updates to fix some of the bugs, but there are still some problems they need to address. I feel confident that the Motor Company will get these issues fixed but it's just taking some time. (A little longer than some of us care for)

Overall I don't regret trading my 04 Fatboy for the Street Glide. Other than the few quirks in the radio I love everything else about the bike. (Handling/Power/Braking)

I recently traded my all time favorite, a 2010 SG with a stage 1, for 2014 SGS and so far I'm very pleased with the move.

The new SGS handles better, brakes better, sound system is better and the stock 103" is every bit as strong as my previous 96" with a stage 1. There are other improvements like the built in oil cooler, etc. I'm even enjoying the 6.5" Boom with on board GPS which I never thought I would.

I had a few bucks tied up in extras on the old SG and I'm now starting over, but that's OK because it's half the fun for me. I've spent most of my money over the years on babes, bikes and booze, the rest I just wasted.

After all said and done, for me its all about the money.
I just now got my 07 paid for and its mine at last. I can't
afford to even look at a a new anything that has wheels
and tires.

If you're financially able to purchase and also have the $$$ to make whatever changes you need to make..........Do it!

Those that don't want a new one, for whatever reason, will tell you the 14s aren't that much better.

I'm going to say that it is worth the upgrade. Especially from an '07. There is a huge improvement in handling and performance over my 2011 FLTRU, which I was told was the "best handling bike Harley makes".

Both my '11 and my '14 have similar upgrades, both have the appropriate SE intake kit and Rush ceramic true duals, the '11 had 3 1/2" mufflers with 2" baffles and a TTS, the '14 has Big Louies with 2" baffles and a PV2.

Would I do it again? Ohgoshyes!

Whether I want a new one or not has nothing to do with my reasoning...They ARE NOT that much better...Nice, yes...Any new bike is but they are not that much better...
