Default Need sum help

Can you take the air shocks off a 13 roadking I pull a trailer and when the wife is on the back I have a quick release tour pack I don't think I'm getting the most comfortable ride with the extra weight what would be the best shock to replace for the comfort when riding solo or fully loaded

Yes you can, there will be many opinions which shock is best for you. Progressive, Ohlins, etc. Many choices. I'm a fan of Progressive.

Punctuation required. Run on sentences very difficult to read.

First, do a search for suspension/shocks. Lot of information for you to peruse

could try changing the shock oil , I gotta friend that just did this said it is a big difference. I don't think he pulls a trailer though. Also give Ron a call at Phoenix Customs (bitchinbaggers.com) .

Simple rule of addition. Add the items up and the total will be your sum.

Can't argue with that logic.

When you add weight, are you compensating by adjusting the air pressure in the shocks?

yes a whole bunch of guys have, and there are lots of threads on that.

for myself, ( 2009 FLHTC), I use the 13" stock shocks when touring- adding or subtracting psi to keep the shocks from bottoming or topping out. I can get a pretty floaty cadillac ride.
and even really loaded up, I can get the air shocks to work.

but i don't pull a trailer.

when i am in town, I run 12" streetglide shocks, again matching the psi to load.
