Once you get it cleaned up (I thinks its the IAC or stepper motor) run some seafoam through it from time to time and that won't happen again.

Yes, I'm a huge believer in Seafoam....use tons of it with my boat and snowmobiles!

I even spray some seafoam spray into the intake after a couple sprays of intake cleaner and let it sit for ten minutes...didn't have the same affect as it does when you do a truck, but still did it anyways!! LOL

update on this....
1st I removed the -20 fuel (which idled at mid 13's AF) and went for a ride...made it 3 blocks and it stalled at idle! Thereafter it would stall anytime I would allow the idle to come down. LOL
I happened to be near the Harley dealer on that ride...so I asked a tech. No codes had been thrown. He gave me basically all the same ideas I already had. But a big thank you for his 10 mins. (Barrie Harley Davidson)

Now brief backtrack back to last summer or Fall when it first acted up, probably due to running too rich of a map fouling the rear cylinder possibly, I had put dielectric grease on the stepper motor plug and the ECU plugs PRIOR to that.

So I get home, removed stepper motor plug and cleaned the dielectric grease out of it...went for a ride and it still stalled.

Ok, now I am determined to figure this out...I UNPLUG the PCV and run off the ECU...and although the bike is a dawg, it DID NOT stall! LOL

So I very carefully cleaned all the terminals (all ends of the ECU plugs and PVC plugs) and hooked the PCV back up and probably have an hour of riding time on it with NO stalling. The bike even seems to run better...could be my imagination, I dunno, but my butt-o-meter says it's pulling hard!

So I am hoping that was all! LOL

Thanks for watching!

My 09 FLHTP did the exact same thing couple of years ago. Canceled the trip we were on an limped home, not allowing idle to drop below 1500.

Local Indy said he couldn't do anything without H-D's Electronic diagnoistic. H-D shop could not fit it in for two weeks.

Somebody right here on the forum suggested resetting ECM. series of off-on with ignition switch and it was fixed and has not recurred.

Don't remember the sequence for sure. If you cannot find it, HOLLER, I've got it written down and stashed in the bottom of the toolkit.

Don't cost a dime to try and it fixed the same problem on my 09 Cop Bike.

I left out one strange thing...

After cleaning all the connections and plugging in the PCV again, I also when into the PCV autotune setup.

Checked off were 'wait 60 secs' for activation, but NOT the engine temp option.
I checked it off, and the temp was set at 160.

Could this be a factor, again, I dunno.

upon talking with Dynojet, we determined that maybe I am actually starving the bike of fuel at ZERO Throttle position. I had -22 from 750 to about 2000 rpm. It was suggested I tone that back a bit...so I set it at -12.
I was also told that ONLY the 60 sec timer needs to be checked off for the Autotune...so I unchecked the engine temp box.

Bike seemed to take it well, no more stalling. Rode it at least 100+miles with no issues.

Then on Monday, about 15 mins into riding steady on the highway, I believe just as the road had a slight downhill grade to it, I was gently off the throttle (so ZERO throttle position) at 65mph and it shut OFF! Wouldn't fire back up as I coasted...but I turned off the key and back on, and as I was down to about 3rd gear, it fired up and ran fine for the remaining 1.5hours.

I got home and there were NO codes in the speedo.

Gonna call Dynojet again tonight....I'm getting frustrated! LOL WTF??!

Any ideas guys?

Thanks for reading!

Well, bike seemed to run great all summer....
BUT 2nd week of August, it started to act up again....had to keep it revving or it stalled. I did this for 200+ miles that day as I was starting a trip!
Ran flawless the next 2000 miles.

Two weeks ago, it started again....as I pulled in the clutch into my driveway it stalls. Did it three nights in a row.
Then I rode 100 miles on the Friday, then the next morning, it would just crank and barely sputter....did this for a good minute or two then it started up.
Skip ahead to earlier this week, ran fine for the ride to work 25miles, then riding home it stalled as I cut through the Lowes parking lot....would NOT start back up.
So I removed my seat and unplugged the PCV. Bike fired right up and ran fine (as good as a cammed 103 runs with no tune!) Rode home with no issues.
Plugged in the PCV to my laptop, seems fine. Hook it back up to the bike and the bike fired right up and ran fine.

So anyways...kinda left in a shitty situation...gonna leave it on the bike, hope it runs, and try to get through the next month with it and then it's going back to Dynojet!! Hopefully they can find a problem.

This is my 4th PC, and I have never had any issues on other bikes or my snowmobile.

AS a side note, here is an observation, with the PCV the bike will stumble if you give it throttle below 2000rpm...with NO pcv, I noticed the other day if the revs were below 2000 it ran fine, although obviously lugging.
