Default Apes vs OEM handlebars?

How comfortable are mini-apes vs OEM handlebars on a street glide?

My riding average is about 500 miles a week.

I put 578 chubbys on my 10 SG. Their about 2 " taller and about 2" pulled back. They are a big improvement for me. I used the stock wires and clutch cable with this setup. No problem pulling the wires through the bars. I'm about 5'10" if that helps.

The OEM Street Glide bars are the most UNCOMFORTABLE bars that I have ever ridden with (different strokes for different folks). SJ Ron

Well, I'd say you are in the extreme minority. Stock Harley touring bars are officially recognized as torture devices by Human Rights Watch.

I just had the HD Tall Boy bars installed on my 2013 FLHX. I sat on many bikes with a lot of different bars at dealers (sorry that's winter for you ) I chose these bars over all the others for me ! I could tell the difference immediately and as the weather clears up will get more miles on them so far so good, the OEM bars sucked. Next is the tall boy seat and I installed the VT goodies floor board extensions as well.
