Default Question about Touring shocks

I have an 03 Road King Classic, I just installed hard bags and an ultra king tour pak. I took a ride this weekend two up and it seamed to ride a bit harder even though I had about 25 lbs in the shocks. My question is there any difference between the the RKC shocks and the Ultra shocks? Thanks

The Road king Classic and the Ultra use the same shocks. You said you have a hard ride, I would think with 25lbs of air it certainly would ride hard. I changed my lowered SG shocks to standard shocks that were taken off a Ultra, I run with 12 lbs, I weigh about 220 and my ride is great.

Default RE: Question about Touring shocks

i weight 175 and usually run 0-4 psi in shocks when riding alone. When my little 120 lb wife is riding with me, i set the shocks for 10 psi. This has always worked well unless the road is bad, then i have to up the psi.
Check the owners' manual for recommended psi with passenger and loads.
